Lindisfarne

I’m Andy Smith, Ambassador for Transform Work.

One of my favourite places I have stayed on is Lindisfarne, or Holy Island, off the Northumbria coast. A very special place with a strong Christian heritage. I have been there in February for a weekend retreat several times. At this time of year, the constellation of Orion is clearly visible, even in bright cities, but not much else. In the especially dark skies of Northumbria, I discovered that Orion was barely discernible against the myriad of other stars around it.

Sometimes, we need to step back from the routine and drop all the distractions and bright lights to see what God might be showing us.

In our busy lives, this might not always be possible or practical but next time you see the stars, remember there are many more you cannot see and be open to what else God might want to show you.
