Christian Professional & Sector Groups
Christian Professional & Sector Groups (CPSGs) exist to connect, equip and support Christians working in specific professions or industries. These groups provide networking opportunities, professional development, and resources to help their members live out their faith in their respective fields.
Transform Work brings more than 60 CPSGs from all industries and sectors together, meaning their impact across workplaces and society is hugely magnified. Working together like this, CPSGs have been able to:
-
Speak with a common voice around national issues and elections
-
Aggregate and re-use resources and best practise
-
Promote each other’s presence and activities across sectors
-
Pray, learn from and support one another
Transform Work Activities
Transform Work brings CPSGs together through the following activities:
-
Web portal listing all CPSGs by sector
-
Dedicated CPSG Resources page and listing of CPSG events on our Events page
-
WhatsApp group where information, prayer requests etc are shared
-
Google Drive folder with a set of resources for use by CPSGs
-
CPSG leaders weekly call, together with a monthly Sector call for deeper, more informed discussion and prayer
-
Annual in person CPSG leaders conference
-
Forming, nurturing and growing new CPSGs
-
Thy Kingdom Come, National Week of Prayer & other church initiatives - involving CPSGs in these national events
-
External event promotion: This may include coordinating and promotion at national events (eg: The Gathering), proposing CPSG involvement/attendance at certain events, nominating speakers from a CPSG, displaying CPSG materials on our booths and more.
Joining the CPSG Community
If you would like to join and benefit from this CPSG community, please contact us with your CPSG name and a short description about yourselves.
We particularly welcome applications from people who are interested in starting CPSGs in new industry sectors. Transform Work has helped set up several such CPSGs in the last few years, and you will receive great support from other established CPSGs in our community.
Funding the community (a Shared Cost Model)
Transform Work provides these activities centrally, with each CPSG providing a modest financial contribution to cover the costs. The activities and contributions are reviewed annually by Transform Work and a couple of CPSG leaders. The contributions are based on CPSG size and level of involvement. Please click the button below for full details and how to start making your contribution.
