Retirement

I’m Andy Smith, Ambassador for Transform Work.

In May 2024, I retired from Rolls-Royce aerospace based in Derby after almost 38 years. The accolades from my work colleagues was touching and that final journey home from work was very 

emotional for me. Retiring was more of a shock to the system than I had imagined it would be.

But the following day when I got up, I was thinking what next? My passion is Christian Workplace Groups and one I was able to support within my company whilst working. I was starting to extend this more widely before I retired and now that I have retired I have more opportunity to develop this further.

Caleb, when he was 85, set off to conquer the mountain country God had given him.

Psalm 92:14 tells us “They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green”.

If you are retired or approaching retirement, see this as a new opportunity and one to commit to the Lord.

Who knows where He will lead you?
